Now that the busy-ness of last week has passed, I'm remembering stories of Anna.

When Anna was a girl, she stayed home to churn butter, rather than ride on the horse-drawn cart with her parents to take the eggs and cream to town, so that she could read. I knew Anna as a resident of the Kensington. My father Norman Hatala lived on fourth floor so I saw Anna about every day. She was friendly, cheerful and a walker! Dad liked her too. My thoughts are with you. It is difficult to see them go. Mary Link, West Point, Iowa -- frequent visitor to the Kensington

I have so many fond memories of her. When I was a child we always visited Aunt Anna and Uncle Glenn (aka Uncle Meany) in the summer. I remember her in the old farm house, pumping water and cooking delicious, multi-dish dinners for all of us and the farm hands. I remember her in her new
