Vicki Jean Sholl, 56, of West Point, Iowa passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her home in West Point.

Born July 18, 1958 in Vinton, Iowa the daughter of Larry and Ethel (Parizek) Kiesel.

Survivors include one son Forrest (Kristyn) Gerst of North Liberty, Iowa, her father Larry Kiesel of Burlington, Iowa and one brother Doug Kiesel of Burlington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ethel and her grandparents.

Vicki was a graduate of Burlington High School and Southeastern Community College. She worked as a nurses aid at area nursing homes, most recently at the Donnellson Health Center and West Point Care Center. She enjoyed cooking and cats.

Her body has been cremated.

Friends may call and meet with the family from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in West Point.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

Larry and Doug sorry to hear a about Vicki. Had not seen her for long time. She was much to young to go. My deepist sympathy to you both. She was alot of fun in school.

So sorry for your loss. I wish I could have been there for you. It was so unexpected, but I did know she had some serious health issues.

The one thing I remember about Vicki was when we went swimming and I actually wasn't afraid of the water and we even were swimming through each others legs under water. I remember I borrowed an old swim suit of hers.

I also remember having pop tarts for breakfast when I spent a week with her in Iowa City. I thought she was so lucky!

Please let Forrest know how sorry I am for his loss.

Doug get up here and come golfing. I am sure Christy and Cathy will take good care of you. I do not golf, but I would drive the cart! Bring you Dad as well if he still golfs.

I'm sorry to hear of Vickie's passing, she'll be greatly missed. She's with Jesus now and she's out of pain. My prayers are with you Forrest.
