Bernetta M. "Bea" Marshall, 96, formerly of Farmington, passed away at 11:20 A.M. Friday December 18, 2015 at the Lone Tree Health Care Center in Lone Tree, Iowa.
Bea, the daughter of Guy and Bertha Lowery Story, was born on May 26, 1919 near Bonaparte, Iowa. She attended the White Oak Country School. On November 4, 1948 she married Ernest Marshall in Memphis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1991.
Survivors include her five sons: John of Grove, Oklahoma, Wayne (Pat) of Stuttgart, Germany, David (Carrie) of Lone Tree, Alan (Diane) of Center Point, and Carl (Annette) of Chariton. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, fourteen great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters Gladys Anderson, Dorothy Payne and Marjorie Hoskins and two brothers Denzil and Gene.
She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing cards with family and friends and watching the Hawkeyes and Cardinals.
The family will meet with friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Farmington United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday December 22, 2015 at the Farmington United Methodist Church with Pastor Dawn Butler officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the Farmington United Methodist Church or the Farmington EMT's .
