Erma M. DeRosear, 94, of Sunnybrook in Fort Madison, Iowa, formerly of Donnellson, passed away at 5:43 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born March 29, 1920 in Primrose, Iowa the daughter of Lawrence and Ada (Lauer) Trabert. On August 8, 1943 she married Harley William DeRosear in Primrose, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1986. On January 12, 1992 she married Darrel Cecil in Farmington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2001.

Survivors include her two sons Doug (Connie) DeRosear of Fort Madison, Iowa and Dennis (Peggy) DeRosear of Hamilton, Illinois, five grandchildren Diane (Brian) Fader, Dan DeRosear (Ann Marie), Michael (Amber) DeRosear, Cody (fiance Amelia) DeRosear and Shelly (Lee) Ekle, ten great grandchildren, one brother Morris Trabert of Sigourney, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Harley and Darrel.

Erma worked at the Donnellson Post Office and at her home providing for her family. Her love of life included her grandchildren, genealogy and rock collecting. She was very active in the genealogy department at the Donnellson Library.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. that evening at the funeral home.

A private family graveside service will be held at Tuesday, March 30, 2015 at the Primrose Cemetery, rural Primrose, Iowa.

Memorials may be made in her memory to the Donnellson Library Building Fund.

Erma DeRosear, 94, of Sunnybrook in Fort Madison formerly of Donnellson, passed away at 5:43 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital. Funeral services are pending at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson.
