Kathleen Therese Sullivan, was born an angel on November 3, 2014 to proud parents Caroline (Forster) and Eric Sullivan of Chicago, Illinois. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, followed by burial at Saint John's Cemetery, both in Houghton, Iowa with Father Bruce DeRammelaere as celebrant.

Kathleen's family was blessed to hold her and she was surrounded with love as she was baptized immediately upon birth. Caroline and Eric would like to thank Kathleen's prayer warriors for their incredible love and support during the final months of Kathleen's journey. Kathleen's story is one of peace and love and her family is forever grateful she did not suffer.

In addition to her parents, those left to honor Kathleen include her brother Ronan Forster Sullivan; grandparents, Carol Kathleen (Dingman) and Norman Forster, of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Gertrude Therese and Gerald Sullivan, of Crestwood, Illinois; and uncles Carey Sullivan and Paul (Katherine) Sullivan, both of Chicago. She was greeted in Heaven by many loved ones.

If you wish to honor Kathleen, please have Masses said in her name, or consider donating yarn to Landon's Closet for a blanket to be made in Kathleen's memory. Kathleen received one of these special blankets and the family would like to pay it forward through yarn donations. Please give yarn to Caroline and Eric directly and they will make sure the yarn reaches the foundation. In addition, a memorial fund has been established in Kathleen's name through the Northwestern Memorial Foundation. Donations will be used to help other Trisomy 18 families and may be made through the following link http://foundation.nmh.org/sullivan, or sent to the Northwestern Memorial Foundation at 251 East Huron Street, Suite 3-200, Chicago, IL 60611.
