Merrill William Fellows, 31, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Farmington, Iowa, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at his home.

Born November 25, 1983 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Todd A. and Brenda S. (Turner) Fellows.

Survivors include his mother, Brenda (Brad) Metcalf of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; father, Todd (Rhonda) Fellows of Bonaparte, Iowa; two sisters, Peggy S. Fellows of Ennis, Texas and Kayla M. (Travis) Davis of Washington, Iowa; two nieces, Emorry S. Davis and Adelle M. Davis; one brother, Jesse Fellows of Burlington, Iowa; one step sister, Nicole (Dustin) Andrews of Fort Madison, Iowa; one step niece, Elise Andrews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one aunt Jody Mead.

Merrill was a 2002 graduate of Harmony High School. He served in the United States Army and Army Reserves and had been stationed for one year in Iraq as well as stationed in Germany. Merrill had recently graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Geography Resource and Environmental Studies and had attained a 4.0 grade point average. He was currently working on his master's degree. Merrill loved nature, was very health conscious, enjoyed yoga, traveling, his dog "Squish" and music.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. that evening.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson with Pastor Monte Knudsen officiating.

Burial with full military rites presented by the Farmington American Legion Post #231 will be at the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
