Troy Timothy Snaadt, 31, of West Point, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 as the result of a construction accident at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, Iowa.

Born June 12, 1983 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa the son of Tim and Carol (Menke) Snaadt.

Survivors include his parents Tim and Carol of West Point, Iowa, one sister Abby (Jake) Denning of Wever, Iowa, four brothers Jeffrey (Tanya) Snaadt of St. Paul, Iowa, Andrew (Stacy) Snaadt of West Point, Iowa, Brett Snaadt of West Point, Iowa and Trevor Snaadt of West Point, Iowa and ten nieces and nephews Tyler, Teagan and Tanner Snaadt, Taegan, Jameson, Eva and Brynn Denning, Emmalyn Snaadt, Tate Snaadt and Baby Snaadt, his maternal grandmother Florence Menke of rural Salem, Iowa, paternal grandparents Don & Eileen Snaadt of West Point, Iowa and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather LeRoy Menke.

Troy graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and from Southeastern Community College receiving his Associate of Applied Science Degree in construction technology. He was a field superintendent for JDM Contracting. He was a member of St. James the Less Catholic Church, the Houghton Knights of Columbus Council #3905 and the Owl Hunters and was an avid Hawkeye, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Troy loved the river, the Lake of the Ozarks, boating, fishing, deer hunting, golfing, softball, playing pool on his pool leagues, trapshooting and the field of construction and working with heavy equipment. He was his parents very special "unspoken child".

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Holy Trinity Catholic School gymnasium in St. Paul, Iowa where the family will meet with friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. that evening. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the gym.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at St. James the Less Catholic Church in St. Paul, Iowa with Father Bruce DeRammelaere as Celebrant. Burial will be at the St. James Cemetery in St. Paul, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Southeast Iowa Builders Association (SEIBA) or the Houghton Knights of Columbus.
