Cody Gilbert Westermeyer, 29, of Donnellson, passed away Wednesday evening, October 23, 2013 as the result of a automobile accident on White Plains Road near Argyle, Iowa.

Born February 28, 1984 in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Rodney Owen and Ethel Marie (White) Westermeyer.

Survivors include his mother Ethel Westermeyer of Donnellson, Iowa, son Riley Owen Westermeyer of Montrose, Iowa, two brothers Russell Westermeyer of Keokuk, Iowa and Justin Westermeyer of Fort Madison, Iowa, two aunts Terril Printy of Montrose, Iowa and Jeanette White of Phoenix, Arizona, two uncles Dennis Westermeyer of Miami, Florida and Calvin White of Keokuk, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Rodney, grandfathers and grandmothers.

Cody was a honor roll graduate of Central Lee High School. He enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting, hiking, arrowhead hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his friends and family.

Friends may call and meet with the family from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson. A Funeral service for Cody will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson. His body will be cremated following the service with private family burial to be held at a later date in the Charleston Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory for his son Riley.
