Henry "Ed" Edward Kennedy, 66, of Farmington, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at his home.
Born September 19, 1945 in Crocker, Missouri, the son of Norman Estel and Ruth Elizabeth (Longbine) Kennedy. On October 3, 2003 he married Betty Jo Heaton in Donnellson, Iowa
Survivors include his wife Betty Jo of Farmington, Iowa, two daughters Tina (Randy) Loges of Farmington, Iowa, Tracy (Keith) DeVries of Kent, Ohio, three sons Ryan (Jessica) Welch of Donnellson, Iowa, Clint (Jodi) Welch of Farmington, Iowa, Scott (Ashley) Welch of Farmington, Iowa, one brother James Kennedy of Crocker, Missouri, two sisters Ruby Harman of Crocker, Missouri, Margaret (John) Davis of Crocker, Missouri, four granddaughters Heather Loges, Kelcey Loges, Olivia DeVries, Madison Welch, three grandsons Addison Loges, Garrett DeVries and Hayden Welch.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ed was a truck driver for Cessford Construction and previously had worked at Iowa Mallable Iron. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, woodworking and drinking coffee with friends.
Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at The Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson the family will meet there with friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. that evening.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Embury United Methodist Church, Donnellson, Iowa with Pastor Tom Peterson officiating. Burial will be at the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington, Iowa.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
